In the process of writing the history of my father's 38th Armored Infantry
Battalion in World War II, I am attempting to obtain a photograph of every
man who died overseas. (See http://members.aol.com/dadswar/38deapho.htm)

One of these men is Pfc. Valentino A. Pizzingrilli, who is on your web page
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~njm1/holys.htm -- as well as on my
page at http://members.aol.com/dadswar/38deaths.htm

You asked to be contacted if anyone has corrections, and I do have more
information on him.

He died December 19, 1944 of wounds suffered on December 18, 1944, during
the crucial defense of St. Vith, Belgium in the first days of the Battle
of the Bulge. I do not know what his middle name was, but the records do
carry him with the middle initial "A" -- though you may have this and
simply had to leave it off due to space.

I do have some additional information about his time with the Battalion, but
it appears that your page is strictly a cemetery records page. So I will not
go into all the details.

           Wesley Johnston
