Mrs. Betty Jean CRAIG JENKINS, 59, died Wednesday, January 11, 1961, in the
Mercy hospital, shortly after being admitted.
A daughter of the late Samuel B. and Clara M. CRAIG, she was born August 4,
1901, in the United Presbyterian manse in Noblestown. On August 25, 1922
she was united in marriage with Dr. T. C. Jenkins. He died September 1926.
Mrs. JENKINS was a member of the Noblestown United Methodist Church and had
been secretary-treasurer of the Woman's Society of Christian Service for a
number of years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tallie Jean SKINTEK of Noblestown; five
sisters, Miss Mabel Helen CRAIG and Mrs. Esther BOYNES of Noblestown, Mrs.
Grace E. FEICK of Mt. Lebanon, Mrs. Marion C. HOFMANN of Rosslyn Farms,
Mrs. Ruth C. KERN of Brookline; and a brother, Harold L. CRAIG of
Noblestown. There are three grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Dorothy
WASHABAUGH, died in April, 1957.
Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon in the Thomas funeral
home, Oakdale, in charge of the Rev. Homer WEAVER, pastor of the Noblestown
Methodist Church. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery.
