Suddenly June 5, 1947, Peter J., husband of Rose B. MAUSHARDT (nee LANG) of 721 Russmore Avenue, Brookline.
Peter J. MAUSHARDT, known for more than 40 years to Pittsburghers as "Pete the Barber" died in his Koppers Bldg. shop of a heart attack yesterday.
Mr. MAUSHARDT, 63 of 721 Rossmore Avenue, Brookline, died on his 36th wedding anniversary. He had been a barber nearly 50 years, working in Buffalo and New York City before coming to Pittsburgh. He had worked in the Hotel Fort Pitt shop 27 years. Fourteen years ago he joined Carl M. Born at the Koppers Shop. They had taken over the shop as partners just a month ago.
Mr. MAUSHARDT is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose MAUSHARDT; a daughter, Mrs. Alma MARRONE, Sheraden, five sons, Clyde, Robert, and Richard, all of Pittsburgh, Norman of Reno, Nev. and Roy MAUSHARDT of Baltimore, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary PETERS, Pittsburgh, and Sister M. Zita, Order of Notre Dame, Cumberland, Md. also 6 grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Beinhauer Mortuary, 2630 West Liberty Ave., after 5 p.m. today. Requiem mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Monday in the Resurrection Church, Brookline, of which he was a member.
