Joseph Eshman, aged 63, died suddenly yesterday in his home, Fourteenth Street, Sharpsburg. He was born in Sharpsburg.
During his early life, he was engaged in the tobacco business with his brothers George and Adam. Later he engaged in the hotel business at Glenshaw and after conducting a hotel there for a time, returned to Sharpsburg and reentered the tobacco business.
Untill a month ago he was employed as night sergeant in the Sharpsburg police station. He was a member of the Knights of St. George and of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sharpsburg. He leaves his widow and three children.
