St. Barbara R.C. Church & Cemetery

"According to St. Barbara's 50th anniversary book, the church at one time was referred to as the "Rosevale Church."

I also have seen references to St. Barbara, Bridgeville, as St. Barbara, Presto, which ties in with your story of the name change. If you are interested, Rosevale was renamed Presto in honor of Presto Flour. According to the anniversary book and the church file, as well as our current diocesan directory, there is no other cemetery associated with St. Barbara other than the one attached to the church." -- Archivist for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh

Directions
:

Prestley Road is a cross street of Washington Ave. (Rt. 50) and Thoms Run Rd.  It begins in Bridgeville and then enters Collier Township. The church is located on the left, just prior to the I-79 overpass, if you are coming from the Rt. 50 end.

Viewers Note: The names which have row numbers after them are rows that are at the top of the hill at the cemetery, and these numbers are painted on the road at the head of each of the rows.
