Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today in the College Hill Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev O.E. Howard officiating. Mr Granberry was born near DeKalb. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his wife: two sons, Douglas and Roger Granberry, both of DeKalb; two daughters, Cathy and Peggy Granberry both of DeKalb; his mother, Mrs Edna Granberry of DeKalb; three sisters, Mrs. Rosie Stacy of Almagordo, N.M., Mrs. Hazel Loden of Shreveport, LA, and Mrs Lola Faulkner of California; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were J.W. Barnes, Jim Feutral, Herman Crawford, Pete Russell, Mike Foster and Clyde Busic. Citizen Tribune--New Boston, Texas Coyce "Strawberry" Granberry Aug 16, 1927--July 24, 1999 Funeral Services for Coyce " Strawberry" Granberry, 71, of Rockwall will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall Chapel, with the Rev. M.L. Jones and Dr. Joe Dan Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Wards Creek Cemetery, Simms, under the direction of Rest Haven Funeral Homes. Mr. Granberry was born to Ose and Daisy Shaw Granberry, was raised in Simms and attended Simms schools. He was a member of Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church since 1947, and was a supervisor for 33 years at Howmet-Alumax, formly known as Texas Aluminum of Rockwall, until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Granberry was a 32nd Degree Mason at Lodge #441 in Garland. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Surivors include his wife, Edith Sikes Granberry of Rockwall; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Debbie Granberry of Royce City, Mike and Nita Granberry of Simms, and David and Terri Granberry of Garland; eight grandchildren: Mistie, Mitch, Paul, Tracy, Ashlyn, and Heather Granberry, Brandon Blythe, and Christie Cheek; one great granchild, Klye Cheek; two brothers, O.L. Granberry and Travis Granberry, both of Simms; two sisters, Irene Daniels of Simms and Lorene Diehl of Nash; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
