brother John. Billy Winters went
back to TN to bring his family to TX in 1834 and returned with his mother and
father, his wife and children and eleven brothers and sisters. Fact
#2: William (Billy), John and James Winters all fought at San Jacinto, William
being severly wounded. Sometime
between 1845 and 1850 Billy Winters located in Hays County.
By 1853 his house on Cypress Creek was finished and his family was with
him there. +
