OBITUARY, Eustace B. Nichols
Eustace B. Nichols, 54 years old, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, 909 North Navidad Street.  Mr. Nichols was a native of Blanco County, a carpenter by occupation and had been a resident of San Antonio for 15 years.  He is survived *by his mother, Mrs. James Nichols; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Schmitt; four brothers, Dan, San Antonio; William, Rock Springs; Joe, Throckmorton, and Sebe of Mason; also by two sisters, Mrs. Allie Kelley, Buda, and Mrs. Annie McDaniel, Kerrville. MMr. Nichols was a member of Woodmen of the World.  The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the residence.  Services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Eckols of the International Bible Class.  Interment will be in the Mission Burial Park.

NOTE: It is believed that the listing of his mother being alive is incorrect.  His mother had died in 1893.  His wife was apparently accidently omitted and mother listed in the obit instead of her.

1920-21 San Antonio, TX city directory shows:  only Alice Nichols, listed wid E.B. and she is living 1055 Ruiz.  Also at the same residence is George Schmitt, baker Bailie Bkry Shop, but daughter Mae Nichols-Schmitt is not listed.
1929-1930 San Antonio, TX City directory shows:  NICHOLS, Alice (wid Eustace) r 1719 W Poplar.  Living at this same address is Geo. F. & Mae Schmitt, Alice M. Schmitt, Freda E. Schmitt & Geo. F. Smitt, Jr.
1931-1932 San Antonio City Directory
shows:  Mrs. Alice Nichols r 819 Cincinnati Ave & Geo. F. Schmitt (Mae E.) clk Sommers Drug #4 h 819 Cincinnati av.  Mae must have been missed off the earlier directories.
