This picture was submitted by Margaret Carter Crawford.  Lucy Frances Griffin married Remus Hayes Matthews, January 31, 1875 in Decatur Co., GA, daughter of Benjamin Griffin and Eliza Hull.  She was born September 27, 1853 in Bainbridge, GA. Decatur Co., and died October 1938, buried Decatur Co., GA, Bethal Baptist Church. Munnie was the mother of Alma Hays Matthews who married John Edward Sholar.

This picture was submitted by Jack Clanton.  Benjamin M. Griffin married Eliza Jane Hull, around 1845. They are the parents of Lucy Frances Griffin.

This picture was submitted by Timothy Matthews.  Remus Hayes Matthews married Lucy Frances Griffin, January 31, 1875 in Decatur Co., GA. He was born January 20, 1851 and died August 28, 1917 buried Decatur Co., GA, Bethal Baptist Church. He was the son of Romulus Wright Matthews and LouisaF. Reeves.

This picture was submitted by Jack Clanton.   John Edward SHOLAR, son of Edward Sholar and Martha Andrews was born February 17, 1868 in AL, and died March 01, 1940 in Decatur Co., GA. He married Alma Hays Matthews December 26, 1897 in Decatur Co., GA, daughter of Remus Hayes Matthews and Lucy Griffin. John Edward is buried in Long Branch Cemetery, Grady Co., Ga.
