When we went to Scotland, I had not realized how beautiful it really is. If you have the chance to go, please do so. If I can be of any assistance in your travels just email me. We have also had many trips to Germany and Prague in the Czech Republic. We always go in February as the rates for everything are much cheaper. The home of the CRAWFORDS and the GAYS, better known to our family and friends as the "CRAWFORD CREW" consists of Carter, Nancy and five of his, mine and ours. However, we all like to think of ourselves as just "OURS". John and Ley are the oldest, both being 32 years old, Mary is 30, Clark is 27 and Hays is 25 years old. We now have ten precious grandchildren. PawPaw and MeMe, as we are called by our "grands", live in Sylvania, GA. Our son, Ley has been in Iraq for 11 months now and hopefully will return home soon. While he has been there he was awarded the Bronze Medal.

In an effort to search out my ancestors, I have gathered information over a period of ten to fifteen years on the GAY surname and related families. Wanting to share with my children and all of you who are interested, something of the lives of our forefathers and their descendants, I have set up this web page strictly for that purpose. In addition to the CRAWFORD and GAY research I have also included information on many other surnames as well. See other surnames we are researching listed above. Please feel free to contact me with any additions or corrections, as much of this research is not documented, some of it is based on family stories and speculation, as well as information from other researchers.
