Post office Inspector HOUK came in last evening from the Chocktaw Nation
bringing with him the entire gang that held up and robbed the Frisco
Passenger Train at Caston and Braidwood on the 6th day of October last.
There are five men in the gang;Tom HARLISS, alias Tom ADAMS,Flave
CARVER, alias Jeff CARR,Hugh DRAPER,Alfred DRAPER, and George DRAPER.
The DRAPER boys are brothers and are known as whiskey peddlers.Tom
HARLISS was a tie cutter and Flave CARVER an exrailroad man.
The capture was made at the muzzle of guns without firing a shot and
was one of the most cleverly worked up cases, Inspector HOUK has yet
handled and he has handled many.
