Died at the home of her daughter in VanBuren, on Tuesday, February 4th in her 72nd year,Mrs. Catherine HOLLIS. She had been a sufferer for many months and had given up all hope of ultimate recovery some weeks before the end came, which brought her relief from long suffering.Everything possible had been done for her in her last illness, which will be a great consolation to those left to mourn her.She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Joe CROCKETT, and an adopted son, Mr. Dick HOLLIS. The remains of Mrs. HOLLIS were taken to Natural Dam for interment.Messars, Ewing and Rex LITTLE of Dutch Mills, Washington county,came down to attend her funeral at Natural Dam.(Feb.8,1896,Van Buren Press)
