About Site Host Deason Hunt
I am a descendant of Edward Taylor Wingate. This site is intended to help sort out the question of whether or not Edward Taylor Wingate was a soldier at the Battle and Massacre of Goliad. I, of coure, would be proud to find that he was. However, my research indicates that it was probably another Edward Wingate. However, the insistence of others and some loose ends in the historical record are enough to cause me to have an open mind.
