SMITHFIELD -- Funeral services for Mrs. Pennina Wood Parnell, 77, who died Sunday, were to be held today at 3 p.m. at Underwood Funeral Home with burial in Oakland Heights Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Herbert of Goldsboro and Lawrence Parnell of Smithfield; six daughters, Mrs. Christine Rementer, Mrs. Ruby Braswell, Mrs. Lucile Smith and Mrs. Gladys Moye, all of Smithfield, Mrs. Nellie Braswell of Selma and Mrs Viola Radford of Rocky Mount; one brother, Eantes Wood of Selma; one sister, Mrs. Ida Forehand of Goldsboro; 31 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
