Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church and Cemetery is located on the Gurley Dairy Road near the Nahunta Community in Wayne County, North Carolina. Since this picture was taken, a new sanctuary has been built next to the existing one, which is over one hundred years old.
Photographs of the church and cemetery were provided by Rose Mooring Wood. For most of her childhood, Rose attended this church. She had 12 years of perfect attendance and occasionally played hymns on the piano during church services.
