This picture was taken in the general vicinity of where Jonathan Wood and Mary Ann Bryan are buried. Edna Wood Smith visited this site about 20 years ago during a tour of the area given by Henry Talmadge Barefoot (deceased). Based on recent information from Jesse Denning, the graves are located in a wooded area off Holly Grove Road in Johnston County, NC, just northeast of Jumping Run Creek and not far from the Whitfield Wood Cemetery.
