Wednesday, April 29, 1863
Marching orders and left camp at 9 o clock embarked on the stemer Desemoines
at 6 o clock in the evening went on bord Stemer Cresent batry on the azoo Rivr

Thursday 30
Went up the azoo Rivr to hanses Bluff (Haynes' Bluff) from whare we lay all knight 3 miles a bove Johnsons farm Heavy canading

Friday, May I, 1863
out on picket and went out on a scout boat Co F Co C Co K went five miles from the Yazoo Rivr on the levey and drove their picket in and went 1 1/2 miles Hanyes Bluff Returned by Yongs Point

Saturday 2
Moved from yongs Point to Miligams Bend and camped I mile from the River on Sunday lay on the Boat all knight

Sunday 3
this morning disembarked at Miligans Bend and went in to Camp I mile from the River in a Swamp, the name of the boat Cresent City

Monday 4
Received a leter from My Wife In Camp all day, every thing Quiet except a fight betwen Col Myers and Luit Rolins, Invited to call on General Smith at his quarters, Had a pleasant time

Tuesday 5
Heavy Rain last knight. Camp vey wet, officer of the guard. Fuler wounded by the discharge of his gun

Wednesday 6
In camp all day every thing Quiet

Thursday 7
Wrote to my Wife No 33 Marched from Milligans Bend for carthriadge [Carthage, Mo.] at 9 campt 4 miles below Richmond. 16 miles' .

Friday 8
Marched at 7, and marched 16 miles down the Walnut byough and Campt on General Fisks plantation he was killed at Shilo

Saturday 9
Started at 5 1/2 on the march and arived on the Missippi River at 11 1/2 seven miles below carthriadge, marched 16 miles for the day and campt on lake St. Joseph 6 miles below whare we [____?] the Rivr

Sunday 10
Marched at 5 1/2 and marched 10 miles down lake St Joseph with in 2 miles of the Rivr and campt on Mr McNuts plantation splendid country, Houses all Burnt

Monday 11
Marched two miles to the Rivr and crost to Grand Gulf landed their at 6 o clock the town all burnt we crost on the gunboat Louisvill 7 miles
