In Camp all day Rainy and very mudy Not very well. took some midisons at

Monday 16
In Camp Sick wether fine the Enemy sheld our drug boat on the canal and
continued till one o clock the 17
Tuesday 17
At 2 o clock this morning we Received orders to hav our command Redy at
once to march with one day Ration and march to the uper landing.
Embarked on the steamer David Tatum and went and went"u-p the River
20 miles a bove miligams Bend, landed for the knight
Wednesday 18
Recieved 2 leters from My Wife, on Board the Steamer David Tatum 20
miles a bove miligan B
Thursday 19
On Board the StemerDavid Tatum. and Returned to youngs Point at 2 o
clock and left the Regt, and arrived at camp at 5 o clock the Colnel
arrived in a shot time
Friday 20
Wrote to my Wife 25 In camp all day the enemy continues to shell our
drug Boats, Weather pleasant 2 gun Boats from Comader Fariguts fleet
arrive this Evening
Saturday 21
Heavy firing on the azoo Rivr, Heavy Battle below 118 Guns fired, the
Rebels continue to shell our drug boat

In camp all day, weathr 'fine, Heavy gunboat fight at Warrington

Wrote to My Wife 26 leter, In camp all day campt on the levy, all quiet
to day, Heavy Rains .

In Camp all day Very heavy rain to day, vey windy all quiet to day

this morning the Lancaster was Sunk the Switzerland got through disabled
