Saturday, November 21, 1863
Left camp at 2 o clok and marched to The Tenesee Rivr and crost and marcht 3 miles and campt at 6 for the knight distance 5 miles

Sunday 22
Wrote to my Wife No 13 Left camp and marched un till 8 and campt for the night distance 18 miles In camp all day maid out pay roles marched at 4 and crost the Tensee Rivr in boats in the knight fortified

Monday 23
Left camp 2 o clock and crost the Tenesee Rivr and marched 5 miles and campt, Moved forward and gard the top of the hill by 4 with out any resistance our compay out on Picket in the South

Tuesday 24
this morning our pickets opend thr fire on the enemy and it past both wase a long the line and at 10 o clock the engagement became Genral and lasted un till dark our men carried the works, the enemy left in the knight

Wednesday 25

the grate battle was faught to day

Thursday 26 
this morning we left the battle ground and fell back near the rivr and drew 3 days ration and crost the chick amoga crick and folowd the enemy 7 miles campt

Friday 27
Left camp at 8 nd marched 5 five miles and was ordered to go back and build a bridge marched 5 miles to the Rail Rode Staion and campt

Saturday 28
Left camp and marched to the Bridge and went to work Rained and vey cold

Sunday 29
to work on the Bridge Wether cold
