November 21, 1863
Left camp at 2 o clok and marched to The Tenesee Rivr and crost and
marcht 3 miles and campt at 6 for the knight distance 5 miles
Sunday 22
Wrote to my Wife No 13 Left camp and marched un till 8 and campt for the
night distance 18 miles In camp all day maid out pay roles marched at 4
and crost the Tensee Rivr in boats in the knight fortified
Monday 23
Left camp 2 o clock and crost the Tenesee Rivr and marched 5 miles and
campt, Moved forward and gard the top of the hill by 4 with out any
resistance our compay out on Picket in the South

this morning our pickets opend thr fire on the enemy and it past both
wase a long the line and at 10 o clock the engagement became Genral and
lasted un till dark our men carried the works, the enemy left in the
knight
