In camp in the Rear of Memphis

In camp Near Memphis Tenesee

In camp Near Memphis Tenesee Wrote of my Wife No 8

Thursday 8
Campt Near Memphis left at 7 o clock Marched to the depot took the trane for, arrived at German town 11 o clock and at Mosco at 3 and went in to camp

Friday 9
In camp all day at Moses Tenesee

Saturday 10
left Moses at 91/2 arrived at Sagrange at 11 1/4 and went into camp at 4 o clock

Sunday 11
Went out on picket South of Sagrange on the Davis Mill Road and Relieved Lieut White

Monday 12
Arrived in camp from picket at 11 o clock

Tuesday 13
Went out on picket on the Davis Mill Road. Relieved at 7 o clock in the evening 

Wednesday 14
Left Sagrange at 6 PM and marched 14 miles campt at 3 AM

Thursday 15
Marched at 5 o clock PM marched 20 miles campt at 7 AM

Friday 16
Marched at 5 o clock PM marched 28 miles arrive at corrinth Miss

Saturday 17
Left corrinth Miss at 11 o clock PM and Marched 12 miles arriving at Glendale and campt for the knight at 6

Sunday 17
Left Camp at 7 o clock and arrived Iuka at 4 o clock distance 14 miles and went in to camp, ordered to Sign Pay Roles

Monday 19
Left Iuka at 3 o clock AM and Marched 6 miles East Received a leter from My Wife No 4

Tuesday 20
Marched at 7 o clock marched 12 miles and campt in State of Alabama Camp churikee Liut Eli F Scott leaf extended this date
