NAAMAN((THE APPRENTICE)2 (BENJAMIN1 CURTIS) was born about 1782 in North Carolina, and died April 1826 in Pendleton Dist., (Anderson, Oconee, Pickens Counties) S.C. He married MILDRED "MILLIE" before 1803 in SC. She was born 1780 in VA, and died Aft. 1860 in Gordon Co., GA.

Obituary:
In the Pendleton SC Messenger issue of April 5, 1826..
"Died on Wednesday last, Mr. Naaman Curtis, of Small Pox, aged about 45 years, for many years a respectable inhabitant of this district.".

Estate probated Aug 6, 1826, in Anderson County, South Carolina

In Equity, In Basement. Clerk of Court Office, Pickens, S.C. Naaman Curtis died in 1829[sic] in Pickens Dist. Owned three tracts of land. One lying on the West side of Keowee River at Cravens Ford, originally granted to Honor John F. Grenike and Rovert Cravens containing 613 acres. Another tract on East side of Keowee River at Cravens Ford containing 725 acres whereon Naaman Curtis lately lived, adjacent land to Tarleton Lewis and others. Another tract granted to Naaman Curtis on six mile creek containing 100 acres, bounded by land of Henry Gassaway, John Green, James Beatty. Left a widow Milly Curtis and chn. viz: William Curtis, Cosby the wife of William W. Gassaway, Lucinda Curtis, Milly Curtis, Naaman Curtis, Elizabet Curtis, Sarah Ann Curtis, Martha Matilda and Frances Ann who are chn. of John Curtis deced. On 5 Oct. 1829 Milly Curtis states that she has three minor chn. under 14 yrs. of age viz; Naaman now in his 14 yr. Elizabeth and Sarah Ann Curtis who wanted Col. Joseph Grisham to be their quardian. Lucinda who was over 14 wanted David Sloan Esq. to be her gdn. Milly wanted Enoch B. Benson Esq. to ber her gdn. On 5 Oct. 1829 Nathan Boon sheweth that Frances Ann and Martha Matilda Curtis the chn. of John Curis decd. are entitled to a share of the estate of Naaman Curtis decd. These children are the children of his daughter and are under 14 yrs. Nathan Boon made quardian of said children.

Obituary - Mrs. SARAH CURTIS, consort of the late JOHN CURTIS, was a native of Pickens county, S. C., of that portion of the county now called Oconee. She was the daughter of Mr. NATHAN BOON. She was born November 18th, 1803, and died at the residence of her daughter in Seneca City, January 25th, 1881, Consequently her age was seventy-seven years, two months and seven days, .... a member of the Baptist Church... (long eulogy and scripture, followed with 4 verses of poetry, signed by J.R.R)

WILLIAM 2 CURTIS (NAAMAN(I),1) was born March 18, 1804 in Pendleton District, South Carolina, and died September 21, 1887 in Gordon County, Georgia.  He is buried in Curtis Cemetery, Gordon County, GA.  
He married M
ARTHA BOON in 1822 in Pendleton Dist., South Carolina. Martha was the daughter of NATHAN BOON, Esq..
She was born 23 Oct 1799 in Pendleton Dist., (Anderson, Oconee, Pickens Counties) South Carolina, and died 19 Jan 1876 in Gordon County, Georgia.  He married (2) AMELIA A. WEEKS MITCHELL 25 Feb 1877 in Gordon County,., Georgia, daughter of P.C. WEEKS.  She was born Abt. 1837.
