www.archives.gnb.ca  An excellent site for getting started. Be sure to check out the vital statistics section as well as the link to Newspaper Vital Statistics.

 

www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/index-e.html  Here you will find various sources including the 1851 Census of Canada. The online Census is not complete for 1851, however upon visiting the New Brunswick Archives, I was able to find missing Kilpatricks in their published Census(s). These are available for purchase by county. (See the first archives.gnb.ca link and go to publications for sale).
