Welcome to the Tarpley Home Page. I have recently met more cousins and felt it time to have a home page for this surname. We descend from John Tarpley born December 13, 1738, North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, VA. He married Elizabeth Smith. More recently, I am a descendant of Sarah P. Tarpley born July 15, 1841 in TN. She married Merritt Birdsong Harwell in Giles County, TN. They later moved to Denton County TX. I have some unidentified photo's that might be them. I would really like to have a photo of Sarah P. Tarpley if you know of one. Enjoy your visit!
