James William WOODS was recorded as the main WOODS member of this family to arrive in Australia from his birthplace, which was from Shadwell (a 'small' town about 5 miles east from Thetford, a larger town, also about 100 miles Northeast from London City itself), in England. He was recorded as a farmer whose father, James, was a carpenter and his mother unknown. James arrived Australia when he was about 17 years old. Whether he was a convict or not is still not confirmed yet to this date. James married to Sarah TURNER in 1841, and had 13 children, only two children died before he died.
