Johnson County. 80 lbs proc. Money. 400 acres
on Cabbage or Porters Swamp, granted to Joshua
Smally on 22 Dec 1768. Witnesses: John
Yeates, William Howe, James Grantham.
2 May 1774 Witnesses: Coleman Nichols, William
Strickland.
2 Aug 1774 Witnesses: Jno. Coleman, Coleman Nichols.
21 Dec 1774 Witnesses: Jno. Coleman, Coleman Nichols.
21 Dec 1774 Proven by Coleman Nichols.
10 Sep 1775 Coleman Nichols & Martha, his wife, to Thomas
Amis. 10 lbs. proc. Money. 38 acres being
part of a 500 acres granted to Joshua Smalley
by pat. 22 Dec 1768 and conveyed by him to
Joshua Stevens & by him conveyed to Coleman
Nichols. The said 38 acres of land including
the Amis Mill. Witnesses: Josiah Lewis, Jr.,
Elizabeth Hudson.
7 Nov 1784 Grant no. 860 to Coleman Nickols, 300 acres on
southwest side of Porters Swamp, adjacent lands
of David Goodwin.
23 Nov 1784 Grant no. 986 to Coleman Nichols, 100 acres on
Horse Mill Branch.
