This page is lovingly dedicated to all of the Nannerys who left family and familiar surroundings of County Longford, Ireland to provide us with our future and to all the Nannerys who remained behind to provide the pathway for our journey home.....to the Emerald Isle!
Chuck and Barb invite all of the Nannerys everywhere to contact us and help locate all of our family.
Our first ancestor on U. S. soil was Laurence Nannery. He settled in the Bronx and lived the latter part of his life on Trinity Avenue. Great grandfather was a brick mason by trade and we would give anything to know which of the wonderful buildings in NY he helped construct. Laurence died at home in 1904 of apoplexy (stroke) and is laid to rest at Old St. Raymond's Cemetery.
Check out our gedcom at World Connect. We will be happy to provide any information we may have by email.
Chuck is currently the President of the Hibernia Marching Society of Mississippi,Inc. We are active in promoting Irish heritage and culture. As we say,"On the outside we may be old and gray, but on the inside we are young, red-headed, and Irish! Dia's Muire Dhuit (God and Mary be with you)!
