Charles Munselle

LAMPASAS - Charles A. Munselle, 81 of Temple died Wednesday, [August] 6, 1997, at his residence.

Service will be at 10 a.m. today at Heights Baptist Church in Temple with graveside service at 3 p.m. in Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs. Arrangements are by Sheppard Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born May 16, 1916, in Richland Springs. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a district supervisor for a vending company and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Munselle of Temple; a daughter, Sandra Gay Bynum of Spring; four sisters, Bentley Stevens of Provo, Utah; Sloan Bryant of San Saba, Ophelia Nagel of San Antonio and Gladyse Powell of Duncanville; a brother, J. W. Munselle Jr. of Lovelady; and three grandchildren.

        Ophelia Nagel

        Ophelia Munselle Nagel, age 83, went to be with our Lord Jesus on Saturday, November 15, 2003. She was born February 25, 1920, in Richland Springs, Texas to Joshua W. and Heba Runsons Munselle. She attended school in Richland Springs. She had a beautiful singing voice and she sang for many years on local gospel radio shows, including various church and family functions. She was a spiritual beacon to her family, loving mom, faithful sister, and our best friend.
        She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nagel, longtime employee of C.P.S. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
        She is survived by a son, Boyd Newby and wife Judy; daughter, Twyla Tenny and husband Wayne, all of San Antonio; son, Charles Nagel and wife Sonii of Austin; seven grandchildren, Judilynn Sunden and husband Russell, Sarah Stehlik and husband Paul, Joseph Tenney and wife Kim, Kristin, Amanda Miller and husband Stephen, Bethany and Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Kinsey; two sisters, Sloan Bryant of San Saba, and Gladys Powell of Duncanville; and one brother, John W. Munselle of Lovelady, Texas.
        Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 12:00 Noon at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South, interment followedat the Floresville City Cemetery, Floresville, Texas at 2:30 P.M.
        Arrangements by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
