        Dear Jerry.

        I have been doing research for several years on my ancestor, Charles William Cowey, in collaboration with Martha
        Cowey Polanovich. I found your file on RootsWeb and wondered if you might be able to tell me if there is some docu-
        mentation as to his birth in Martin County, North Carolina. Martha gave me the state but didn't record the county.

        You have done some very comprehensive work on the Adams and England families. I read all of your notes with
        interest. With your kind permission I would like to add the basic data to my files.

        for Charles William Cowey.
