Bill,
 Have recently found that Littleberry and Penelope went to
Muscogee Co., GA where they are listed in the 1850 & 1860 census.
They were in the 1840 Harris Co., GA census living next to Brightwell.
By the census figures I have determined that they had 5 males and 5 females.
I have the name of one female as she is a widow living with them in 1850.
Also on the 1850 they have two sons living with them, John and Joseph.
I still suspect that Brightwell and Hartwell are their sons also and
I have a couple of females that I suspect are daughters.

m. Penelope WATERS, 3 Dec 1812, Madison County, Georgia
living in Harris County, Georgia in 1830 Census and 1840 Census.
Lose him in the 1850 Census but he is in Muscogee County, Georgia in 1860
with wife Bannora (_____), a 60 year old b. Georgia (I presume to be a
second wife as she would only be 12 years old in 1812).  Possible
Children:
(1) - Mitchell ELDER m. Amy WILEY
3 Aug. 1834, Harris County, GA;
(2) - William ELDER m. Cynthia SMITH 20
Apr. 1840, Harris County, GA.  William is counted in the 1840 Census in
Harris County;
(3) - Hartwell ELDER m. Mary DIAMOND 6 May 1843 in
Muscogee County, GA,  Hartwell b. ca. 1825/27 in GA:
(4) John ELDER
living next door to Littleberry in Muscogee County, 1860 Census with wife
Jane (______) and dau. Margaret, age 1.  It's possible that the family
was in Mississippi in 1850 as Margaret is recorded as being born in
Mississippi.
(5) - Joseph ELDER b. ca 1838 in GA, in Muscogee County
1860 Census with wife Carmella (age 24) & dau. Julia (age 2).  Also in
household is one John BONNER, age 21, all born in GA.
(6) - Nancy Ann ELDER m. William I. Mannen 13 Sep 1848 in Harris County, GA.

"There is a W. M. G. ELDER in Harris County in 1840" --
"Wyche Malone Jenkins ELDER" - wife Mary Jane Burt
