"Attached are the pictures from yesterday's excursion up to Bedford. Shoup/Elder House Story
There was only one problem with the map from mapquest.com - in the
directions it said to turn right onto Moreland Road (coming up from
the south on RT 220). There is no Moreland Road. When you are in
Centerville (not really a town though) you make a right turn onto
White Church Lane (which is just before the white Cumberland Valley
Vol. Fire Co. building). Down that lane just a short way is the farm
on the left. (Elder Lane isn't really a road, it's a private drive
into their farm). The property is 16 miles south of the town of Bedford."

"There are several residences on the property. We did drive down the
driveway but no one appeared to be around - probably about working
the farm. The grey silo has this written on it "Sunny View Farms - The Ladson Family"
We didn't see any signs of an old burial ground around what we could see.
But of course we didn't see much.
There is one older cemetery on RT 220 that wasn't too far from this farm.
Might be worth looking around that one for some long lost Elders.
Unfortunately I didn't see any signs of the name of the cemetery."
