Elizabeth Miller was a member of the church and resided on Third St. and
her husband was a master builder (1850-1851 records)
  Other members of the church included: H. Darling, Spafford family, J. Chappell, Mason Bull,
Clarinda Shaw, Abigail Houston, Thomas and William Bull, Goerge Flack and Aurelia Perrin.
In 1852 the list also included: Joshua Chapel, Mary A. Darling, Abram Carter, George Beck,
John Cress, James Freeman, Thomas Moore, Mary Bussard, Schuyler Beach, Luisa Bates and a
Mrs. Webb.

Know all men by these presents, That we Elizabeth Clark wife of George W. Clark and Samuel Elder
heirs at law of Alexander Elder deceased for the consideration of two dollars received to our full
satisfaction of Josiah Miller of Wood County in the State of Ohio have granted bargained sold,
remised and quit-claimed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise and quit-claim unto
the said Josiah Miller and to his heirs and assigns forever all right, title, interest and claim what-soever
in which we have or ever had as heirs at law of Alexander Elder late of Wood County Ohio deceased
to the north half of In-Lot No. 413 in the Town of Perrysburg.  Together with all and singular and
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the remainders,
reversions rents, issues and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title interest claim or demand
whatsoever of them the said Elizabeth Clark and Samuel Elder either in law or in equity of in and
to the above granted premises.
To have and to hold the same to the said Josiah Miller and to his heirs and assigns forever.
In witness wherof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this thirteenth day of August A.D. 1850.

 The land had originally been sold to JOSIAH MILLER in 1845.
Deed was signed 12 Apr. 1866, witnessed by Josiah ELDER and Robert McMahon,
and was recorded 15 Feb. 1867.

Elizabeth died on Wednesday April 8, 1857.
She lived from Friday to Wed. No burial info.

The abstract says
"MERCER, Mrs.--Portage,
burned, w/o John, d/o Coroner ELDER."

(We also know now that her father JOHN ELDER
was coroner in that time period, from BEERS
history of Wood County).
JOHN MERCER remarried
Amanda CREPS,
and is buried in Bowling Green.
Need to find burial location for ELIZABETH ELDER MERCER,
and her parents, MARY MOREHOUSE ELDER (d. before 1860)
and for JOHN ELDER ( d. abt 1863.)  Family letters
say that Elizabeth was "burned in a washday fire".
