"This information provides a lead in trying to locate the old McCord family Bible of the 1600's reportedly
last seen at the home of Mrs. William McCord of Westchester, N.Y.,
according to a McCord who wrote that he had seen the old 1600 Bible there, along with a sword
belonging to the old Clan Chieftain James MacKorda, and an old clock.
The one who wrote that he had seen it, date not stated, was James Sturgis McCord,
descendant of John McCord, born 1702 who
settled in Hanover, near Derry (now Hershey) Pennsylvania ca 1720. "
