	869	F	iii	Adaline BROWN was born 7 Dec 1865. THE BROWN GENEALOGY, Vol. II, 1915, by Cyrus Henry Brown, page 256.     Mrs. Main is a graduate of Brookfield High School. She taught school for a number of terms in New York State, then, after fitting herself for special work, she went to Fremont, Nebraska, where she taught successfully for two years. She entered the Civil Service at this time, receiving a very flattering position at once. She showed so much tact in the work that she was promoted rapidly till she received as high a salary as any lady employee in the ranks. She held this position for a number of terms, till failing health compelled her to return to ther native State. She received from the Teachers' Training-Class of Alfred University, NY, in 1902, a life certificate, and taught in New York State again till her marriage to Mr. Main, in 1905. She is a ready writer of prose as well as poetry, and a member of the Serveth-Day Baptist Church at Leonardsville, NY.
				Adaline married Charles Albert MAIN, son of George Jefferson MAIN and Louisa Wright BURGESS. Charles was born 12 Jun 1866 in So. Brookfield, Madison Co., New York. THE BROWN GENEALOGY, Vol. II, 1915, by Cyrus Henry Brown, page 257.     Mr. Main is a farmer, having several head of thorough bread Holstein Friesian cattle. He is a Republican. No children.
