She died 12 Aug 1999 in New London, New London Co., Connecticut and was buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, New London Co., Connecticut.

NORMA IRENE ALLEN
Norma Irene Allen, 69, of 983-R Long Cove Road, Gales Ferry, mother of Joyce Allen of Pawcatuck, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
Born Dec. 18, 1929, in Ledyard, she was a daughter of Rachel (Pierce) Brousseau of Ledyard and the late Adella Brousseau.
She married Paul C. Allen in Mystic on Oct. 8, 1953. He died Jan. 25, 1995.
Mrs. Allen was a sales associate at the former Vality Store in Gales Ferry and after the store closed, went to work at Marshall's in New London.
She was a member of the Women's Bowling League at the Holiday Bowl in Groton.
In addition to the daughter in Pawcatuck and her mother, she is survived by two sons, Paul D. Allen of Groton and Mark J. Allen of Gales Ferry; two more daughters, Cynthia Kneelandd and Donna Collins, both of Gales Ferry; three brothers, Harry Bousseau of Gales Ferry, Wallace Brousseau of Ledyard, and Thomas Brousseau of Jewett City; a sister, Emma Abrahamson of Preston; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. There ae no calling hours. Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton, is in charge of arrangements.
Norma married Paul C. ALLEN on 8 Oct 1953 in Mystic, New London Co., Connecticut. Paul died 25 Jan 1995 in New London, New London Co., Connecticut and was buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, New London Co., Connecticut.

She died 14 Aug 1998 in Gales Ferry, New London Co., Connecticut and was buried 18 Aug 1998 in Gales Ferry Cemetery, Gales Ferry, New London Co., Connecticut.
HOLLIS A. ELLIS, Nov. 24, 1954 - Aug. 14, 1998
LEDYARD - Hollis "Holly" Ann Ellis, 43, of 8 Riverside Place died Friday morning after a long courageous fight with cancer.
She was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Key West, Fla., a daughter of Frances (Denker) Ellis of Gales Ferry and the late Robert W. Ellis.
Ms. Ellis returned to Gales Ferry early this year from Annapolis, Md., where she resided on the Severn River.
A 1972 graduate of Ledyard High School, she earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Connecticut in 1978 and a masters of Business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnieal Institute.
Ms. Ellis was employed by United Nuclear Corp. from 1978 - 1992 holding various technical and human resources assignments. From 1987-1992, she was manager of emplouee relations/recruiting having the responsibility for staffing one of the most sophisticated state of the art manufacturing facilities in the world.
dIn 1993, she was promoted to vice president of human resources in UNC Tri-Manufacturing Facility in Terre Haute, Ind., and subsequently was promoted to vice president of human resources for Lear Siegler Corporate Office in Annapolis UNC Lear Stegler is the largest UNC division, providing military services throughout the world.
In addition to her mother survivors include a brother William W. Ellis of Anchorage, Alaska, and a sister, Susan M. Billings of Gales Ferry with whom she made her home.
Also survived by two nieces, Katherine Billings and Adrenne Ellis and one nephew, Kaelin Ellis. Callinghours are Monday from 6-9 p.m. at Gales Ferry Funeral Home of Church and Allen, Hurlbutt Road, Gales Ferry. Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gales Ferry Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to either the American Cancer Society or the Connecticut Humane Society.

MAINE TRUCK DRIVER KILLED IN CRSH INTO I-395 GUARDRALLS
THOMPSON - A Maine man was killed late Saturday night when the truck he was driving ran off Interstate 395 and hit the highway guardrails.
Clifton Campo, Jr., 49, of 1260 Lamson Road, Liberty, was not breathing when rescue personnel reached the scene. He was administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation by emergency medical technicians, but was pronounced dead on arrival at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam.
Police said his flatbed truck was headed south on I-395 near the Exit 98 entrance ramp shortly after 11:30 p.m. when the truck went off the right shoulder of the highway and hit 72 feet of guardrails before it came to rest.
Police said the cause of death has not been determined.
Trooper Scott Prouty of the Danielson barracks is investigating the accident.
