Slocum of North Stonington for $10 sells to Freelove Maine of North Stonington one certain lot of land situated in North Stonington -- beginning at a stake and heap of stones in the northwest corner of said lot thence running easterly by land of Christopher Brown heirs to a white oak tree which is near the northeast corner of said lot and standing on said Slocum's land; thence running southerly by lands of said Slocum to a maple tree which is near the southeast corner on said Slocum's land; thence running westerly by said slocum's land to a stake and heap of stones which is the southwest corner of said lot, thence running northerly by land of Jabish S. Maine to the first  mentioned bound, containing by estimation one acre. Said Freelove Main is to make and maintain all the line fence between the said Slocum's land and the said lot at her own expense.

Eccleston a warranty deed above, and Mr. Eccleston later determined that a right of way was involved, so for $50.00 he "received of Thomas B. Hewitt and George Foster, both of the City and State of New York, exectors of the will of Henry D. Wheeler, I, Stiles P. Eccleston, hereby rfelease and discharge said executors and said estate from all claims or damages, for and on account of said right of way or any righ of way over or across the lands so conveyed, as a foresaid, and further the warranties in said deed are released and discharded. This instrument was witnessed by Amos A. Browning and Isaac Corney.
