    Paul Parke Hewitt was born in Conn., 26 Jun 1777 (tombstone). He died 2 Jul 1845, in an accident on the road to Ionia, Michigan when his horse hit a tree and he was injured (War of 1812 Bension File #WO-44420). He was buried in Smyrna Cem., Otisco Twp., Ionia Co., Michigan, age 68 years, 0 months and 6 days (tombstone).
    Paul m. 1st ARABELLA FROST. There must have been children by 1st wife,. An Arabella Hewitt, b. abt 1824 in Canada, who married Frederick Kimberly, 9 Nov 1843, Ionia Co., Michigan (MR), was probably a daughter of Paul and 1st wife. Paul Parke Hewitt in Otiaco Twp., Ionia Co., Michagin in 1840 census with 01100001-110101 in household.  There was a female, b. 1820-1825, living with this family, who was likely Arabella. She and husband lived in Otisco, Michigan in 1870.
    He married 2nd MARGARET ____,  18 Sep 1821, Niagara Co., NY (War of 1812 Pension #WO-44420). Margaret was born in Upper Canada about 1804 and died in Otisco, Michagin, 29 Apr 1890 (War of 1812 Pension). I believe Paul's 2nd wife, Margaret, married Paul in 1831, not 1821, as she stated in her widow's pension application which was filed 16 Mar 1887, at her age of 83 years. Suspect her memory was hazy.
     Paul served in the NY cavalry during the War of 1812 according to wife but no records were found by the pension dept. so application for widow's pension was rejected. She thought he enlisted in eastern NY. Margaret reported her children on application.
    Need to find an Ontario, Canada census for Paul P. Hewitt in 1831.
    He owned property in SW 5, sec 22, Town 8, Otisco (tax rolls 1843). He was elected justice of the peace for 1 year, 6 Apr 1842 (County Clerk).
    

Paul married (1) Arabella FROST about 1821. Arabella died before 1830.

Paul also married (2) Margaret on 18 Sep 1831 in Niagara Co., New York. Margaret was born 1804 in Upper Canada. She died 29 Apr 1890 in Otisco Twp., Ionia Co., Missouri.

Denison married (1) Mary Ann MINER on 19 Jun 1817 in Champlain, Clinton Co., New York. Mary was born 22 May 1797 in New London Co., Connecticut. She died 13 Jan 1837 in Pharsalia, Chenango Co., New York and was buried in Center Cemetery, Pharsalia, Chenango Co., New York.

Denison also married (2) Hannah HARVEY, daughter of Uriah HARVEY, on 5 Feb 1838 in Pharsalia, Chenango Co., New York. Hannah was born 21 Nov 1808 in Champlain, Clinton Co., New York. She died 1886 in Delhi, Ingham Co., Michigan and was buried in North Cemetery, Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan.
