At the age of 20 Hannah married William H. Larkham of Voluntown, Connecticut. They settled on a farm in Voluntown that William's great-grandparents had established in the 1700's. It was here that six of their eleven children were born.
In 1857, William and Hannah left Voluntown and lived on rented farms in nearby Griswold, North Stonington and Canterbury, Connecticut. After William's death in 1884, Hannah purchased her own farm on Plain Hill, Norwich, Connecticut, where she lived to be almost 91 years old. Hannah was buried with Will in the Larkham family plot at Packerville Cemetery near the Packerville Baptist Church in Plainfield, Connecticut. Four of Hannah and William's children, Henry, George, Julia, and John, are also buried there.

Hannah married William H. LARKHAM [scrapbook]. William was born 1820. He died 1884 and was buried in Parkerville Cemetery, Plainfield, Windham Co., Connecticut.

    They went to live on the Geer farm in North Stonington.
    Perry helped with his father-in-law's charcoal business and also was a relatively prosperous farmer. The Geer/Congdon farm is no longer standing -- it burned down in a forest fire in 1922.
    In the 1850 U.S. Federal Census, Henry Frank Geer, the 14-year old brother of Lydia Geer, was living with Perry Congdon and his family in North Stonington.
  He died at the home of his daughter, Mary E. (Congdon) Palmer, in Voluntown, CT on 25 Mar 1910, At 91 yrs, 1 mo, 18 days. The cause of death listed on the death certificate was "general paralysis of the braian", an illness he had suffered for three years. (In modern medical language, this would have been described today as some sort of a stroke.)
    His wife predeceased him 16 Dec 1877, age 59, dying from cancer.
    Perry and his wife and several of their children are buried at the Pendleton Hill Cemetery in North Stonington, CT
