Eliza married Dennis HARDIN, son of Nathan HARDIN and Philena CLARKE, on 23 Jan 1832 in Brookfield, Madison Co., New York. Dennis was born in E. Hampton, Connecticut.

He was a Justice of the Peace for many years, being popularly known as "Squire Hardin," and his openion on legal matters wea widely sought.

He was a man of fine personal appearance, of good education, and dignified bearing, being a veritable "gentleman of the old school." He and his wife are buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, NY.
