Slocum of North Stonington for $10 sells to Freelove Maine of North Stonington one certain lot of land situated in North Stonington -- beginning at a stake and heap of stones in the northwest corner of said lot thence running easterly by land of Christopher Brown heirs to a white oak tree which is near the northeast corner of said lot and standing on said Slocum's land; thence running southerly by lands of said Slocum to a maple tree which is near the southeast corner on said Slocum's land; thence running westerly by said slocum's land to a stake and heap of stones which is the southwest corner of said lot, thence running northerly by land of Jabish S. Maine to the first  mentioned bound, containing by estimation one acre. Said Freelove Main is to make and maintain all the line fence between the said Slocum's land and the said lot at her own expense.

    Simeon P. Slocum of North Stonington for $1,000. received of Christopher C. West of said North Stonington, Conn do sell one certain lot of land lying in said North Stonington.
    Bounded: Beginning at the North corner at the River, thence easterly with the fence by lands on the North belonging to the heirs of Christopher Brown, dec'd. until it comes to the highway leading from Pawcatuck Bridge to Pendleton Hill and East of said highway by lands on the North of Jabesh B. Main and Freelove Main, the heirs of Christopher Brown and Isaac York, easterly by lands of said Isaac York, William Maine and Amos Main until it comes to a large rock with a heap of stones on it which is the Southeast corner of the lot convayed. Thence running westerly to a mearstone and a heap of stones which is the Northeast corner of Jabesh B. York's lot. Thence southerly by Jabez B. York;s land until it comes to the aforesaid River. Thence by and with said River to the first mentioned bound. Containing by estimation 124 acres.

    Mathew S. Kinyon of North Stonington for $1800 to Simeon P. Slocum dated Dec. 14, 1852, Vol. 7, page 254, do sell the following tract of land -- Beginning at the northeast corner of lands owned by Lodwick Burdick, thence running westerly by said Burdick and said Slocum land until it comes to a ditch in the cranberry bod, so-called, which ditch is Peleg Clark's east line, thence northerly by said ditch and line fence to the highway, thence by said highway to land owned by Elijah Perry, thence running easterly by said Perry's land Horace White lands to an ash tree that is marked standing in the wall, thence southerly to a stake and heap of stones by land owned by said Kenyon, thence running easterly by said Kinyon's land to another stake and stones, thence running northerly by said Kinyon's land to the butment of the garden wall and with said wall to the southeast corner of said garden, and in the same direction of the last named wall until it comes to the south line of a lot of land said Kinyon bought of Charles P. White, thence running by said Kinyon and Robert Palmers land until it comes to the northeast corner of said convoyed premises, thence southerly by said Palmer's land to the first mentioned bound, containing by estimation 70 acres, excepting right of way from my waggon and blacksmith shop to the highway on the west side of the aforesaid premises, and also the right  of flowage land tha same that Reuben S. Bennett formerly bought of Simeon Perry, and the right of water running in the original channel and in the racewat from the said wagon shop south thru the aforesaid premises without ever being obstructed by said Slocum or his heirs.

Slocum to Peleg Clarke, for $400. dated Jan. 25, 1853, Vol. 7, page 282, 22 and 56/100 acres. -- Beginning at the southeast corner of Clark's barn meadow by the highway, thence by said highway N 88 E 11 chains, thence N 25 E 21 chains & 56 links by said Slocum's land to the south line of the Bennett farm, so-called, now owned by said Slocum, thence by said farm S 88 W 11 chains to the said Clark's land in the swamp, thence S 25 E 21 chains & 33 links by said Clark's land to the first mentioned bound.

    Simeon P. Slocum to Lodowick Burdick. Beginning at a small crooked pear tree by the north side of the highway southerly by said highway 2 chains & 50 links, westerly by lands of said Slocum 2 chains to a stone post. Northerly by said Slocum 1 chain 65 links to the pear tree first mentioned. Contining 1/2 acre with dwelling house and out buildings thereon standing.
    Also one other lot beginning at a mearstone in the northwest corner of said Burdick's farm southerly by said Burdick's land to the highway, northerly by the highway to Peleg Clark, Westerly by said Clark land to the mearstone first mentioned, containing 12 acres.

    Heirs of William Slocum: Lydia Slocum, Philura Maine, and Asariah Maine of North Stonington, Simeon P. Slocum and Jesse B. Slocum of Voluntown, and Burrell Slocum of Hopkinton to Thomas W. Lewis, 50 acers, bounded east, north and west by land of Clark Hill and William R. Hill, and on the south by the highway it being a tract of land which we own as tenants in common with each other and with our sister Almira Lewis, wife of Thomas W. Lewis, the same lot that came to us by our honored father, now dec., it being subject ot the life estate of our mother Lydia Slocum, which she herein conveys. This was dated Aug. 26, 1867, and was recorded in Vol. 8, page 332.
