74, a native of Green Point, Brooklyn, New York, came to San Bernardino in 1946 and passed away Satu rday, April 17, 2004 in his residence. A veteran of thirty years of fire service, he served with the California Division of Forestry, the United States Forest Service and the San Bernardino City Fire Department, retiring as a Captain. He was an Army combat veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a staff sergeant in the 25th Division, 14th RCT. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Marleta; and 3 sons, Matthew of Big Bear City, James of Yucaipa and John of Redlands; and seven grandchildren. A rosary w ill be held Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Bernardine Catholic Church, 545 N. F Street. Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area #2, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside. Published in the San Bernardino Sun on 4/20/2004.
