a resident of Barstow for 45 years, died on May 9, 2004, in the home of her daughter and surrounded by family members. Glenda was born in Custer City, Oklahoma, on June 25, 1936. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Owen (Sandy) Riddle, her mother, Jewell G entry, and her twin sister, Clarice Mae Gentry. She is survived by her father, Doyle Gentry of Weatherford, Oklahoma; her sisters, Phyllis Van Aken of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Joyce (husband, Charlie Kellogg) of Hydro, Oklahoma; her children, Glen (wife, Laurel), Alan (wife, Elenor), Kelly Riddle (husband, David Peterson), Kerry (husband, Jimmy Bowkley), Phillip (wife, Kathleen), Karma (husband, Richard Speas); 14 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A faithful member of the Chur ch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she was known by all for her gentle and kind nature. Glenda loved sewing, quilting, genealogy work and being with her grandchildren. She also worked very hard to help support her family, spending over 30 years as a civil service employee at the Barstow Marine Corps Logistics Base. Funeral services will be held on May 17, 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2571 Barstow Rd., Barstow, California. Burial is at Riverside National Cemetery, River side, California, at 2:00 PM. Arlington Mortuary, Riverside, California, is handling funeral arrangements. Glenda's family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties, Banning and Barstow Hospice branches for their help and support.
