BLOOMINGTON HERRERA, JOHNNY "CHATO" 56, of Bloomington passed away December 24, 2005 at home surrounded by his family and friends.

Mr. Herrera graduated from Poly High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam 1969-1971. For 20 years Johnny was employed as a supervisor at CertianTeed Pipe Company, later pursuing a career as a Correctional Officer in Adelanto. Mr. Herrera is preceeded in death by his father Johnny C. Herrera, mother Lucy Bailon and brother Ronald Herrera. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Emma Herrera. five children, Margaret Razo of Bloomington. Johnny Herrera Jr. and Thomas Herrera both of Riverside. Yvonne and (Juan) Velazquez and Elaina Herrera also of Bloomington. Six grandsons, Paul, William, and Phillip Razo; Isaiah, Jeremiah and Elijah Velazquez all of Bloomington. Sisters Rita Herrera, MaryLou Ortega, Gina and (Peter) Ledesma, and Diana Garcia. Brothers Richie and (Melissa) Herrera and Porfirio Bailon all of Riverside. Grandmother Rita Herrera of Lindsay and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Chato was a man who loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing baseball, from childhood playing in an empty lot, to playing church leagues, teams from work, and sharing coaching duties with Bloomington Little League. He loved music and sang out loud often. He will forever be remembered as a man with a big heart,a giving nature and a knack for making everyone laugh and smile. Most of all he will be remembered for the love he showed his family and friends. Vigil Service Wednesday Jan 4, 2006 6:00pm at Acheson & Graham Mortuary. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30am at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Riverside. Followed by interment at Riverside National Cemetery. ACHESON & GRAHAM (951) 688-1221
