Ernest E. Hadsell, 81, of La Quinta died July 19, 2003, in Riverside.

He was born July 10, 1922, to Claude and Verna Bale Hadsell in Cullison, Kan.
He married Marjorie Pollock on May 19, 1950, in Wichita, Kan.
He was a teacher with San Bernardino city schools for 45 years and served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah A. Mennig of La Quinta; his son, Paul E. of Palm Springs; and his brother, Leeman of Pratt, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, in 1998.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area No. 1, with Wiefels & Son Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests donations be made to the drama department at San Gorgonio High School.
