"Jean Pierre Bondurant only left France in 1698 and took a year
disposing of (selling) his property before he fled. He was from
the Cevenne mountains area where protestants held off the
catholics for a number of years and, indeed fought a pitched
battle with them in 1705."
The Huguenot Publication No. 32 1985-87. The extensive
genealogical research on the Bondurant family by the late Donald
Connely Bondurant ( b. 11 July 1908 in Charleston, Mo. 5th gen
gr-grandson of the immigrant Jean Pierre Bondurant and Ann Faure
Bondurant) has been microfilmed by the TN State Library,
Nashville, TN. The seven reels of microfilm comprising the
Bondurant collection- Accession #914 are available for research
at the Meek Library, Un of TN, Martin, Martin ,TN 38238. Also
available at the Library of the Huguenot Society of Manakin; the
Jean-Pierre Bondurant Huguenot Library, Nashville, TN and the
Jackson Purchase Library, Genealogical Library, Murray State
College, Murray, KY.
Land Patent: 24 Mar 1724/25 Henrico Co. S. side of James River
on Jones Creek.
