Sarah Grymes aka Katherine Dedman, according to Richard Darden Bourne was step-daughter of Charles Grymes of GRIMSBY and BRANDON.

From Striblings of Walnut Hill And Related Families, by Bruce Stribling Hodgson:
"The legends and traditions as to the origin of the Taliaferro family name are among the most ancient and interestrin of those of the early emigrants to America. Genealogists seem to agree that the name is of European origin but just here is still a matter of conjecture. One legend has a distinctive Italian background while another is associated with English history...
"Like the names of many other early colonial families, the name Taliaferro was, and still is, spelled a number of ways...papers belonging to Robert, the first name in America, has the name spelled both as Taliaferro and Toliver. In this country the name is most often spelled Taliaferro and pronounced Toliver".[john_luddy_burke.ged]

"He is first known to have resided in the US in York County in 1645. He was granted 800 acres in Glouchester county, VA on Feb 12, 1651 and 6300 acres with Lawrence Smith in Rappahannock co on Mar 26, 1666. Witnessed the will of Robert Meeke of York co, VA on Nov 1 1647."
