Notes

On Oct 10, 1925 Wm Henry wrote a letter from Lewisville, AR to A. R. McCants in Lake Providence, LA. From the office of H. A. McCants, Merchant and Planter, Lewisville, AR.

"On our way to AR, we took a large steam boat at Memphis TN for NO. My father went out in the city to look up an uncle of his named David (my gggf). He found him and brought him down to the vessel that we were on. I can remember the old uncle, he said he was 94 years old. He said he had a large plantation about 100 miles above N.O. and that he moved to the city to educate his children. I was about 8 years old and do not remember much about the uncle's visit.

Our family was large, I was the 7th and youngest boy. Two boys had died while children. There was 4 girls born, two having died quite young."
