"James died at age 75 of dropsy. 1810 Culpepper Co. Census lists James, Sarah and ten slaves. James Crigler bought 225 acres of land on Gourd Vine Fork of the Rappahanock River, Culpepper Co. in 1804 from Hill and Vaughan. on Aug. 25, 1812 James and Sarah sold this land to James Monroe. James and Sarah wer e married by Rev.Wm.Mason, a Baptist minister. [par502.FTW]"
