Richard MARKHAM "the Immigrant"

ABT 1630 - ABT 1660

ID Number: I1723

  • RESIDENCE: Lower Norfolk Co. VA
  • BIRTH: ABT 1630
  • DEATH: ABT 1660
  • RESOURCES: See: [S82] [S1081]
Father: (RESEARCH QUERY) MARKHAM of VA & MD

Family 1 : Frances YATES
  1. +John MARKHAM

Notes

"Probate of the estate of Richard Markham was Dec 1660. Richard Markham may have been transported to Virginia by Mr Warwick Cammock----but the date of the transport is not clear. Warwick Cammock received a land grant in Old Rappahonock co in 1670 for the tranport of 39 persons including Richard Markham. But it seems likely that Richard Markham was in Virginia long before 1670 and that he had probably been dead 10 years---by the time this patent was taken out. So I'm not sure what to think here."
