DR. THOMAS EDWARD PICKETT, (7--1), of Maysville,Ky., b. Jan. 11, 1842; d. 4-5-1913; was educated at Central University, Danville, Ky., and the University of Pennsylvania; a Fellow of Am.A. of Medicine, class of 1865.


He is a distinguished scholar, one of our most eminent scientists, and a writer of note; his "The Quest for a Lost Race" has attracted a great deal of attention. He m. June 18, 1873, Abbie Gray, b. 11-1846 d. 4-1879, dau. of Hamilton and Elizabeth (Johnson) Gray, of Maysville, Ky. Issue:
