Notes
came to North Yarmouth with his brothers from the "South Shore," Duxbury, Mass, where he was born about 1720. He settled on Long Island in Casco Bay. He married in his native town Nov. 2, 1741, TABITHA BISHOP, who was baptized in North Yarmouth as an adult, Oct. 26, 1766, as a member of the First Church. The date of his death and that of his wife are not known. This worthy couple became the parents of eight children whose posterity, still surviving, are very numerous.
